DESCRIPTION:This our 11th year holding the Retreat at Sanctuary Retreat. It is a stunning environment in amongst the natural tropical rainforest. Walk down through the rainforest and in 10 minutes you are standing on pristine beach amongst the coconut palms. Most days 2 metre high cassowaries are viewed by retreatees in their natural habitat\, often with babies at their side. \nThe Retreat is 4 full days (26\, 27\, 28\, 29 August). Arrive on the afternoon of the 25th and leave the morning of the 30th. \nDuring the retreat we will discuss the spiritual aspects of Mikao Usui’s teaching and how to apply them in our daily lives. \nHere’s an example of what we do: we begin each day with a 45-minute silent meditation during which Frans performs Reiju for everybody. We will practice techniques like Hatsurei-ho\, Joshin Kokyu Ho\, Hands on Healing\, chanting mantras and much more… AND if the weather allows\, we might do a walking meditation through the retreat centre. \nWe practice 2.5 hours in the morning and 2.5 hours in the afternoon\, with lots of time in the evening to share healing\, stories\, and fun with your fellow retreatees. \nFrans has been hosting these Reiki Retreats for many years now and infuses them with great humour\, knowledge of Japanese spiritual teachings\, and his own depth of practice of Mikao Usui’s teachings. DESCRIPTION:No Pre-Requisites: Everyone is welcome \nShoden is a Japanese word meaning ‘first teachings’. \nIt is the first level of teachings in the traditional Japanese branch of Reiki called Usui Reiki Ryoho. \nEnergy is a word that very few people can explain in all its complexities. You could read a book on it or be told all about it but it is the actual experience itself that teaches you. \nTherefore a complete treatment is given and received by each participating student and many hands-on exercises are used in a group environment during Shoden. This practical experience leads to an inner understanding of energy. \nVegetarian meals and accommodation are included in the course fee. DESCRIPTION:Pre-Requisites: Reiki Level I in any lineage\nTransition course\, if required\, is included in the course fee. \nOkuden is a Japanese word meaning ‘inner teachings’. As the word implies a deeper understanding and connection to Usui Mikao’s teachings is achieved during this course. \nThis level teaches how to connect to Earth and Heaven energy\, the first steps to becoming fully integrated with the universe. This is achieved through the practise of shirushi (symbols) and jumon (mantras). It will enable the student to enhance his/her own energy levels and sensitivity. There are many aspects to the shirushi and jumon which include chanting and visualisation techniques. Rather than being external tools – the focus here is on internal use for spiritual development. \nA vegetarian lunch is included in the course fee.
