In April this year we were fortunate enough to have David Escobar Galindo in our Shinpiden Reiki Level III class. David wrote these two poems about his experience with Reiki teacher, Frans Stiene.
David is one of the most celebrated poets in El Salvador, he recently won the World Prize for Mystical Poetry from the Fernando Rielo Foundation.
Cada palabra
que decimos nos hace
dueños del tiempo.
Y un segundo después,
volvemos a la antigua
condición de los dioses:
mendigos que florecen
en el silencio.
Each word we utter
converts us in owners of time.
A second later
we return to the ancient condition of the gods:
beggars that bloom in the Silence.
Di tu oración
como lo hacen los árboles:
al pie del aire.
Después, reclínate
sobre el tronco desnudo
para oír la oración
profunda de la savia.
Todo es Espíritu.
Pray in the manner of the trees:
at the foot of the air.
Afterwards, recline into the nude trunk
to listen to the profound prayer of the sap.
All is Spirit
