Originally from the U.K., Clare has lived and worked in France, Italy, Singapore, China and Hong Kong before settling in Bali, where she offers Reiki treatments and trains all levels of Usui Reiki Ryōhō. She also provides mentoring for Reiki teachers and offers refresher courses.

Committed to maintaining a living connection to Reiki’s roots, Clare spends part of each year travelling in Japan as well as deepening her Sanbo Zen meditation practice as a student of Yamada Ryoun Roshi at San’un Zendo in Kamakura. In her professional life, study and research remain integral, ensuring her teaching reflects the simplicity and integrity of the Japanese tradition.

In her Reiki classes, she guides students through the principles and practices of Reiki with depth and care, while remaining responsive to the needs of each participant. Her teaching is thorough yet accessible, creating an environment where students feel supported to ask questions, build confidence and develop a grounded, embodied practice.

For Clare, Reiki training represents a dedicated journey of practice extending well beyond a short course or formal certification. Ongoing support, continued practice and community connection are therefore central to her approach. In Bali, she facilitates regular Reiki shares and gatherings, cultivating a strong and welcoming community both in person and online.

She also leads small-group Reiki pilgrimages to Japan, offering practitioners the opportunity to engage directly with Reiki within its historical, cultural and spiritual context.

Outside of her work, Clare can be found exploring Bali’s beaches and rice terraces with her dog, Pantai, enjoying local food and reading by the sea.
